$1,695.00 per person (dbl. occ.) $150.00 of each person's trip cost is donated to the San Cristobal Nature Reserve and ASUPMATOMA. Join us on this five-day adventure where you'll experience first-hand, the enjoyment and satisfaction of assisting an endangered species, the Olive Ridley sea turtle, as it makes its way to sea. The 1000-acre Rancho San Cristobal Nature Reserve, a beautiful sandy beach along the Pacific Ocean just north of Baja's Cabo San Lucas, is the venue for this unique and exciting program. We'll search for turtles at night as they lay their eggs, then transfer the eggs to a protected nursery. There will be opportunities to release hundreds of tiny hatchlings to sea. The camp is sponsored by ASUPMATOMA, a non-profit agency designed to protect the environment and the sea turtle in southern Baja California. Join us for an experience you'll never forget! NOT INCLUDED: • Meals other than those noted on the itinerary • Personal items • Tips to guides and waiters • Trip Insurance GO TO OUR 2007 TURTLE TRIP BLOGITINERARY  DAY ONE: AIRPORT-CABO SAN LUCAS - Arrive at the San Jose del Cabo Airport. Take a shuttle to your hotel. You can enjoy the afternoon poolside or take in the many attractions of Cabo San Lucas. Early evening we will meet you in the hotel lobby and enjoy dinner at a historic and charming restaurant. (Dinner included)
DAY TWO: CABO SAN LUCAS - SAN CRISTOBAL NATURE RESERVE ~ Mid-afternoon we'll travel by van to the San Cristobal Nature Reserve. Following an orientation, claim your cot and pillow and place it under the stars or inside the palapa for rests in between beach patrols. We will take a tour of the reserve, checking in the nursery area for any hatchlings that may be making their way out of their nest. We'll also explore the beautiful thorn forest behind our camp and learn about the plants and animals that live there. Enjoy the sunset (watch for the Green Flash) at a beverage and cheese reception. Following a delicious dinner, we'll settle in for a sea turtle presentation by camp naturalists. Learn about these amazing creatures that date back to the time of the dinosaurs, but are now endangered. Around midnight, we will patrol the beach in a six-passenger ATV and on foot. If we are lucky enough to find a nesting turtle, we will wait for her to lay her eggs, then transport and bury the eggs in our fenced-in nursery, where they will remain safe from predators. (Dinner included)  DAY THREE: SAN CRISTOBAL NATURE RESERVE- CABO SAN LUCAS ~ Begin the day by releasing hatchlings to sea ~ an incredible experience! After breakfast, we'll head back to our air-conditioned hotel to get some well-deserved rest. The remainder of the day is yours to explore Cabo San Lucas, once a sleepy Mexican village that has been transformed to a major tourist destination. Great shopping and attractions await. Return to San Cristobal late in the night to once again patrol the beach for sea turtle nests. (Breakfast included)
DAY FOUR: SAN CRISTOBAL NATURE RESERVE - CABO SAN LUCAS ~ Release hatchlings at daybreak. After breakfast, we'll return to the hotel for some much deserved rest, or some last minute shopping. That evening we'll gather for a beachside fiesta farewell dinner. (Breakfast and Dinner included)  DAY FIVE: CABO SAN LUCAS ~ AIRPORT ~ Enjoy your remaining time in Cabo San Lucas before taking a shuttle to the airport for your flight.
